Is Gay the New Black?

Um, no.

I urge everyone to check out Michael Crawford's latest post at the Bilerico Project on the most recent fucked up meme that has been infecting white HRC-sexuals in every overpriced gayborhood across the United States.

You know, I suspect much of the hate mail I received concerning my recent post that contained a picture of Obama decked out in the latest Klan regalia probably came from Aryan queens like the white faggot at the beginning of this video. You know the type: white queers who have spent so many hours in front of the mirror making sure their outfit matches their expressions of liberal PC outrage that they have started to believe that their proclamations of being an "ally" to people of color is something beyond a convenient bandwagonesque affectation. It is sadly amusing to watch them deliver their predictable self-righteous sermons against anyone or anything that appears to conflict with the corporate-sponsored programming they received in Identity Politics™ at whatever Skinner box of a college they happened to attend. Wait, that's not entirely true. They generally need to have an audience first. Otherwise why bother working up a sweat and maybe even messing up your hair if no one is around to witness your symbolic bravery?

Predictable....engaging in symbolic actions with no real conviction....corporate sponsored...That reminds me of someone. Damn...I can't remember his name at the moment. It's on the tip of my tongue...

Nope. Gone.

Oh well, I'm sure it will come to me at some point when I least expect it.

Okay, so back to all the white gay fag "allies":

I have news for you, girlfriend. First of all, Obama's election did not signify the end of racism despite the incessant pontificating to contrary by the Sean Hannity's of the world. Furthermore, all forms of oppression are not created equal. You are white and you are male. Sure, perhaps you enjoy slurping on the occasional cock, and you might even get teased now and then. I am big fag myself, so I know exactly what we have to put up with. And it's fucked up. Yeah, some of us even get killed from time to time and, believe it or not, some of "us" are black too.

But no other minority group in this country has been legally enslaved. No other minority group in this country has the unique privilege of being the national scapegoat. There are black people living today who can still remember not being able to vote or drink from the "white" water fountain. A few generations ago white people gave them 40 acres and a mule and told them to "quit their bitching". To this day there are white people who apparently think that benevolent act was a sufficient atonement for a sin that was almost worse than genocide because of the suffering the victims had to endure. Imagine watching the master rape your daughter mother sister brother son lover and knowing that if you dared to even raise your voice in protest you'd be hanging by your neck from the highest branch of the nearest Magnolia tree... if you were lucky. White people in those days were quite creative when it came to devising new and increasingly painful ways to murder their livestock.

I am a member of an ethnic minority in the US and a big queenie fag to boot, but I am a firm believer in black exceptionalism. In other words, black people in this country are unique in that they have endured (and continue to endure) unspeakably vile treatment that is qualitatively and quantitatively different from the prejudice to which members of other minority groups in the US are subjected. There is just no comparison. Period. I am not minimizing the struggles of other minorities, and god knows I've had to put up with my fair share of bullshit as well. But it's not the same.

Just yesterday I witnessed some little 20-something white clerk at the grocery store talk to a black person old enough to be her parent as if that person was a 3 year old child. The crime? Asking her for assistance. I sat back for awhile and observed her interactions with other customers, and she used that same patronizing tone whenever she spoke to a black person. I know that sounds minor, but imagine encountering strangers on a daily basis who treat you like a child or a violent criminal and talk to you like you aren't there.

"Is gay the new black?" "Why do THEY get so offended? I mean, like, we just want our rights." Only cookie cutter liberal white fags and dykes could come up with something that fucking ignorant. So the white homos want their rights, eh? That's cool. I suggest you first wake up to the fact that not every queer is white and/or rich enough to live next door to you in Ms. Rogers' Gayborhood before you start making an ass of yourself by going on about how "gays" are just as oppressed as black people. Do you realize how fucking arrogant it is to insinuate that all LGBT people are crackers like you? And that's just the tip of the fucked up iceburg of "Is gay the new black?"

Just a few years ago a popular gay club in the Castro district in San Francisco was not in the center of a controversy for essentially refusing entry to black people and being found guilty of discriminatory hiring practices. No, the "not" wasn't a typo. White fags continued lining up to get into the place every night even after it was discovered that the owner required black people to show 3 forms of ID to get into the club and ordered his DJ's not to play hip-hop because of the "element" it would attract.

Fuckers.

And now gay is the new black.

Oh, and to the white "progressive" fags who almost shat out a kidney over my recent Obama post: Nobody owned your grandmother, and if you were really all that concerned about racism and how it impacts people of color, you wouldn't be wasting your time acting so offended (while making some interesting assumptions about my ethnicity in the process) over something you mistook to be a racist statement (and which, incidentally, was nothing of the kind), and you'd start focusing on real bigotry. The kind many of you clearly cannot see or simply aren't willing to put your lily white necks on the line to fight because it's too dangerous.

Gay is the new black indeed. "Gay is the new overseer" is more like it, especially for the crackers in that video.
