The Million Moron March (aka The Big Gay March on Washington)

I find it amusing that at the time of this posting, there is no mention of Obama's upcoming (in less than 3 hours!) big gay speech to his HRC lapdogs anywhere on CNN's website. However, if you were wondering about how Barbara Streisand feels about auctioning off her belongings, the Most Trusted Name in News is on the scene! Of course, at the time of this writing, Faux News is currently featuring Obama's impending HRC trainwreck prominently on its front page. I generally loathe Barney Frank, but his recent remarks about the futility of the Big Gay March on Washington- which for the moment can only be found on Faux News, not CNN- are a profound understatement. Nonetheless, they inspired me to revive this old post I wrote on the matter when I first heard about the march on 6/16/09.

It seems that CNN is covering for HomophObama by not covering his speech to the HRC homotocracy. I think that fact alone should cause the HRC-sexuals to abandon Hope, Inc. However, I have no doubt that Obama will deliver a speech that sounds like he is promising them the stars, the moon, and a magic pink dildo. Before all you Star Spangled Faggots get all excited about his "promises" to let you join the military and kill people in Afghanistan for him (which he might do), make sure you listen VERY closely to what he says.  During the speech, pay attention to what Obama actually commits himself to doing "for" the "gay community".  It doesn't matter what he says he "believes" or "supports" or "thinks" about [insert cravenly assimilationist goal here]. He's a lawyer,  those kind of statements do not count as promises.  Unless he says "I will do X by (insert deadline)", then he's just doing his usual "Aren't-I-handsome-and-inspiring-and-eloquent-and-so-not-Bush" routine. Anyway, for what it's worth, here's what I wrote about the Million Moron March last summer:

This is hilarious:

One is forced to wonder why marriage is something worth perpetuating.

Don't misunderstand me. I think what StatusQuObama and his administration stated about queer people in his recent defense of the so-called "Defense of Marriage Act" was beneath contempt. But the fact that Obama harbors the same disdain for queer and trans people as his butt buddy Rick Warren should come as no surprise. What do you expect from a man who chose a team of virulently homophobic evangelical preachers (who happen to advocate the "ex-gay" movement) to be his on-call spiritual advisors (I don't feel like finding the link, but there's a post all about it on this blog somewhere)?

Apparently, the white gay male homotocracy is fed up with the Democrats lies, and by golly they aren't gonna take it anymore. Why, just today the wealthy white gay and lesbian HRC-sexuals decided to take their toys (i.e., millions of dollars) and go home. They won't be playing with the Democrats at the upcoming DNC fundraiser. Rumor has it that Jay Solomnese even plans to tell on Obama!

I've been hearing all this talk lately about a big gay march on Washington. HRC-sexuals are downright furious that Obama had the audacity to suddenly "abandon" them, and they plan to give Obama a piece of their minds! One cannot help but admire their gumption considering how little they have to spare. By the time they are done, they will be little more than walking brain stems.

What, you don't support them? I'll have you know that it is their right as apple pie eating, baseball loving, SUV-driving, American Idol-watching, God fearing, gun toting, red-blooded, cock sucking, muff-diving, white Americans to apply for a permit to wander around D.C. chanting catchy slogans that will be completely ignored (peacefully, of course)! Do I have to remind you that our nation is at war against...uh...hmmm...our nation is at war against...wait a second, it's on the tip of my tongue...oh yeah, our nation is at war against TERRORISTS, yeah, that's it, TERRORISTS in...in...well, I know it's probably one of those Muslim countries. So our military needs all of the anilingus-loving Arabic translators it can get, ok? The patriotic thing for Obama to do is to fight for the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and we are going to peacefully protest until we are granted the same right as straight people to kill brown people who hate our freedom!

Sounds like a blast, but I don't think I'll be able to make it.

Well now.

I caught Cnn's coverage of his speech (which was only partial coverage, of course) and they immediately cut back to their special on the Jonestown massacre.

Honestly? I didn't hear a damn thing that leads me to believe that he's going to do more than push platitudes and empty promises to the the LGBT community.

In this instance, I have to take the attitude of "What Have You Done for Me Lately"?

nothin.

All talk, No Hat.

Was that a Paula Abdul song? lol I'm a big fag and I should know the answer, but I prefer music with guitars.

Don't worry about the speech, your time was better spent watching tabloid journalism, aka CNN.
